Despite the fact that I don't play high elves anymore, I wouldn't do it based on deciding too ban select Special chars. Especially since it's a qualifier for a GT which is run by GW where they will be allowed. Just seems silly too me

It is stupid to ban some characters and not all. Same thing for magic items.

No, some characters and magic items are broken enough that banning them creates a far more balanced playing field. It nolonger becomes an automatic for the min/maxer to take certain characters or items. the grand tournament field is fairly healthy and strong because of some of these limits. Having played against Fateweaver, who just tore my fat froggy apart magically, i dont miss him. The Colonial GT is independent and will be running with these rules as well.

Well I have some bad news for those that were interested. With all the slots taken at the tourney I didn't get a time in soon enough to hold a qualifier. So unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel the tournament up here. I did talk with Chris about next year though and reserving a ticket for up in this area and he stated that he would be glad to.
