There is a rules update to inquisition vehicles that has been put out by Forgeworld. The price of your rhinos has come down to reflect the changes made in the codex space marines and codex chaos space marines. Chimeras have also (suspciously) come down in price. Perhaps the IG codex is in the pipe? I can only hope. www.forgeworld.co.uk/pdf/ia2-update.pdf

And the Rhinos come with smoke as standard equipment too! Bad news is that extra armor is now 15 points. So the standard SOB Rhino kit (extra armor and smoke) comes in at 50 points instead of 58. I guess any point reduction is a good one.
Looks like the IG codex is coming in early 2009.
This change may be a while in coming for the Inquisition. I am not certain of this but I have read and been told that if your army's codex has the specific rule spelled out in it (not just a reference to having such-and-such special rule) and the specifics are different from the new rulebook, then the codex still applies. I think the means that for Witchhunters Rhinos stay at 50 points base. It also means that Hit and Run (explained in detail in the cocex) stays as it was. Do others know how codex/rulebook differences work themselves out?

Do others know how codex/rulebook differences work themselves out? You're absolutely right. Codex > BRB in almost all cases. But GW has come up with a clever way around this using this forgeworld update. Since forgeworld variants are completely different types of units which have their own entries, you can field a "forge world sisters of battle rhino" from this supplement rather than the one from the Witch Hunters book. You would have the option now of doing either. Hit and run would obviously remain as it was in the codex (unless they come out with forgeworld seraphim - an unlikely prospect)
