If people are interested we could play Hail Caesar, which is a minis game featuring zillions of figures and lots of players. It's fast and low key. I have a "Legionairres raid the British" scenario featuring druids, hairy naked brits, sheep, and a group of Numidians who wish they were anywhere but this cold, damp country. Certainly a recipe for adventure then and now.

I may be helping Terry run a Hail Caesar Lego Knights game at Carnage so I'm in.

Thanks to everyone who played Hail Caesar on Friday. We matched up a hoard of barbarians against invading Romans in a secluded British valley. Hail Caesar has you roll dice to try and activate units, they may then move, move quite a bit, sit still, or even do something unexpected. Generally well drilled armies move smartly around the board and barbarian armies surge unexpectedly. The game was a good success. Temis' Romans hit the area in waves and started efficiently burning British property and chasing livestock. The British poured out of villages, forests, and druidic temples and formed up to meet them. Both sides took their time and lined up into nice battle lines before colliding around a sheep pen. The Romans were hit hard but their lines held up in part because of careful tactics and in part because of insanely lucky dice. At the end of the game the British were beginning to eye the relative safety of the nearby forest and we called it. Hail Caesar has a lot going for it. The rules are simple and the game flows nicely. It does require a Lot of figures and the rules are not as well organized as one might like. Still, a good time and hopefully something to try again.

It was great fun! Temis rolled like a madman and continued that trend into our D-Day battle on Sunday.
haybale - Mike and I would both be interested in some DBA some Friday night - probably in Sept. as you indicated you are busy this Friday and Mike is gone the next two and I am gone the Friday after that.

Sure, DBA is lots of fun. I can realistically scrape together 2-3 medieval armies and one greek army. This Friday is out though but after that, whenever people are interested...
