For some folks Friday night doesn't work. It may also be that for some of us Friday nights work best or are the only night that works. (Then there are some of us who refuse to make the short drive up from Bennington to game.) Any thoughts about an alternate night? Could be we add a second night and folks have the option to come to either or both. Could be we change to another night. Could be we do some sort of alternating schedule - 1st and 3rd Fridays, 2nd and 4th Thursdays for example. Thoughts? Preferences? Proposals?

Any night's Ok with me. I think having a miniatures gaming night that's somewhat predictable makes it easy for new people to come by and maybe develop an interest or start playing. It's kind of a balancing act I suppose.

I have no problem any other night but given how scarce attendence has been lately I wonder if the few of us are going to be spread even thinner? I tend to agree with Mike that one set night is better.

Its kind of a tough question. It's better for a tight group of friends to do whatever they want, whenever they want. But you do run the risk of making it harder for new players to join in. It's easier to get new players with a regular night but if the ongoing players can't make it then no-one ends up having any fun and ultimately that's what we're aiming for- to have fun.
Maybe the best answer is to do both- have a "miniatures night" but recognize that this is all for fun and some people may play on a Tuesday as well or only some Wednesdays or who knows what.
I personally would put a vote in for a set "miniatures night," because it's not actually binding in any way and people will play whenever but it can act as a rallying point of sorts, and the Malifaux and Dystopian Wars folks may take notice.

Good conversation so far. Some excellent points. I don't think there is a right and wrong answer in here at all. I do like the concept of a "miniatures night". Space can become a problem quickly however. Hope we hear some from some other voices as well. (Other gamer voices, that is, not the voices in my head.)

I agree that one set night would be the way to go. Consitency is good especially with new players. We have a lot of difficulty getting together in bennington because we do not have a set day.
