Hello from the Windy City! Ross and I arrived around noon central time, with our gear mostly intact (and nothing that super glue couldn't fix) Brian arrived around 8. Tom is expected early tomorrow morning to complete our quartet. Here is the giant hotel where we are staying: Meanwhile here is Ross in the grand ballroom where the 40k Championship Tournament will be taking place tomorrow and the Team Tourney will be on Saturday: Our swag bags that we received at registration included all the stuff below. And yes that is a Cryx Battlegroup (Brian and Ross pulled Khador battlegroups). Totally awesome! (Oreos aren't bad either). Ross and I neglected to bring display bases, so here are our alternatives. I present Ork Beverage Service: And Space Wolf Ice-Bucket Service: Awesome! I'll try and get some more photos up after the first round of the championships tomorrow.

Final round results: Tom defeated mechdar 3-0 Drew defeated mech IG 2-0 Ross lost to Blood Angels 0-2 Brian lost to Blood Angels 0-3 Charles NO! Final Standings Brian 3-1 Drew 3-1 Tom 3-1 Ross 1-3 None of us advance to the Sunday round But we still had an awesome time and had some great games. Will keep you updated on the team tournament tomorrow. Man, that's a lot of Orkz! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!!!!!!! Who says that it isnt a competitive army? Nobody! I had this exact conversation with the IG guy I beat in round 4. We marveled that the internet "geniuses" deride orks yet they finish fairly well in most tourneys. RobPro: Ross ran Space Wolves, I ran Orks, Brian ran Chaos and Tom ran Necrons.

Wait, do you have to earn 4-0 to move on to Sunday? That's pretty rough. How many people are registered for the tournament? I guess if it's like 400, then a 4-0 would be required to weed out the chaff. (no offense guys, you did great )

I'm sad to hear no one made it all the (Asside perhaps with Ross in the hotel room) but don't worry, I'll be anxiously awaiting your return. The Grey Knights in all their glory an all that. Good luck in the team game
