We should have plenty of promo cards to give out in addition to the store credit prizes. And I went ahead and edited your post, since you "borrowed" a post from October 2nd

On Saturday, we held a release event for The Dead of Winter, the latest expansion for the Legend of the Five Rings CCG. With new strongholds for the Crane, Mantis, and Spider clans, the set is full of strong cards for existing archetypes as well as adding some exciting new decks into the mix. Added to that was the fact that everyone taking part would receive an exclusive promo card - an experienced version of the ronin Utagawa.
Ten players took part in the event, with a nice spread across the three clans - Spider had four participants, while Crane and Mantis both had three. Everybody used a starter and three boosters to build their deck, using a 30/30 minimum. After four rounds of Swiss, the standings were as follows:
1st Mark Armitage (Spider) 4-0 2nd Gary Farr (Mantis) 3-1 3rd Shelby Armitage (Crane) 3-1 4th Chris Medico (Mantis) 3-1
5th Geoff Prugh (Crane) 2-2 6th Chris Root (Spider) 2-2 7th Will Minsinger (Mantis) 1-3 8th Patrick Kelly (Spider 0-4 9th Sean Wolfe (Spider) 0-2 10th Devin Towne (Crane) 0-2
Devin had to drop out after the second round, and Sean gamely dropped too in order to avoid a bye.
It was great to see at least one of each clan make the top four - the days of one clan dominating seem thankfully behind us!
In the semi-finals, Mark continued his undefeated streak and defeated Chris Medico, but Shelby couldn't make it an all-Armitage final as she was beaten by Gary. Still, finishing third overall is by far Shelby's best tournament performance yet!
In the final, an early battle went Mark's way, and he kept the pressure on to overcome Gary's valiant defense. The top four split $50 of store credit, while everybody received copies of the two new dual-bugged promos, Green Nightshade Blend and Blue Tanuki Bar.
Thank you to everyone who took part! We'll be holding a constructed tournament before the Feeding Hills Kotei to give players the chance to play test their decks - look for more details very soon!
