EDH now MTG Commander

It looks kind of cool. With the new cards you can get. Also a great way to introduce players to the EDH variant. You have to wonder if sanctioned EDH (or MTG Commander) tournaments and events are far behind?

I saw this on another forum earlier. I don't like the name as much, but I guess it is maybe a little less confusing (or perhaps even intimidating?) a title for the uninitiated; and getting some new players interested in it is a good thing.

From what I read there isn't going to be a WotC "take-over" or anything. The rules committee that managed the EDH format before is still in charge of it now, and I don't think that is going to change any time soon. The promise of the "wedge" 3-color generals and pre-con packs they will be released with is really exciting.

We will still call it EDH at Carnage!

The wedge decks that WOTC is putting out next year do look really cool. I like the fact they are giving this format some attention....just not too much!
