I know you've all been waiting!
PRE-GAME
The attacker declares Skorched Skies. Flaming Roks fall from the sky, wrecking a section of wall on Castle Booninstein. The Thunderwolves are devastated by the explosions, all of them taking wounds and one of them dying outright.
TURN 1 ATTACKER
The Mek’s battlewagon rolls on the side and smashes through a section of wall with its deffrolla.
On the other side of the field, three killa kanz walk up to the wall ready to smash. On one side, stormboyz come screaming onto the field, their rokkit packs covering the distance easily. Behind them are three more kanz. Now that the wall has fallen, a huge mob of boyz trudge up behind the battlewagon. Another mob shows up behind the kans on the other long edge. And a third massive pile of boyz walks on the far side, joined by the roaring metal behemoth of Tank Boss Gutslag.
The deffkoptas fire their rockets at the gatehouse of the fortress and blows a hole through it. Then the killa kanz charge the wall and smash it to pieces with their klaws.
The Boyz near the battlewagon charge and use their melta-bombs to level a parapet and another wall.
TURN 1 DEFENDER
Drop pods rain from the skies to back up the small force inside the castle. The Orks look up and realize the trap. A pod slams down near the Warboss’s boyz and the Hunters pile out, guns at the ready. A pod lands in front of the ruined wall that was taken out by the kanz, and a dread looms out of the dust.
Two more Marine-filled pods drop being the battlewagon and boyz.
The defender declares the Escape Hatch strategem, and one of the Marine squads moves from a bastion and out of the hatch at the antenna station near the boyz.
The other bastion marines pop out of a bunker to the right of the killa kanz and boyz.
The Thunderwolves wheel around and run towards the battlewagon. The Marines that emerged from the hatch at the antenna shoot at the boyz near the wagon and slaughter 10 of them. The pod marines behind the wagon fire their meltas and turn the vehicle to slag, the Nobz hopping out the front to face the wolves.
The marines near the boss fire and kill 8 boyz. Then the Dread unleashes his flamer and multi-melta on the kill kanz and the boyz, killing 2 Orks and shredding the klaw from a kan. Nearby, the other marines that popped out of the hatch fire and gun down 6 Orks.
Both of the hatch squads charge- one at the battlewagon boyz and the other across the field at the other boyz mob. The Mek’s side sees 15 Boyz cut down, with only 2 Marines falling in battle. The Boyz fail to muster their courage and are run down. The Boyz by the killa kanz also take heavy losses- 13 to 1. They are run down as well.
The Thunderwolves charge into the Nobz and a furious clash takes place.
2 Nobz fall, but they are matched with 2 dead thunder wolves. The combat continues into the next round.
TURN 2- ATTACKER
The Stormboyz jet over the wall towards one of the bastions, while the Warboss breaks out of his boyz mob to zoom across the battlefield.
The kanz on the flank run forward. The Warboss’s boyz wheel around to engage the Grey Hunters that landed near them in the last turn.
The deffkoptaz race towards the wall, but turn at the last second to fire rokkits and kill a few Grey Hunters near their escape hatch.
The Boyz unleash their sluggas at the Hunters near the pod before charging in. Two of the Orks are killed, but they manage to finish off all of the Marines in return. The Stormboyz charge at the bastion, but the Nob’s power klaw only rakes off a heavy bolter. The killa kanz near the wall assault the venerable dread, and he easily crushes one. The kanz swing wildly and only shake the ancient dreadnought.
The battle on the other side of the castle rages on, as the wolf lord strikes down one of the Nobz. He is down to his last wound but soldiers on, and the combat continues.
TURN 2- DEFENDER
The final drop pod comes down from the sky and lands directly in front of the Warboss, ejecting another Dreadnought to greet him.
The Grey Hunters, having lost two of their number to rokkits last turn, duck back into the escape hatch and back to the bastion. The other marine squads, having taken losses fighting the Boyz, move towards the Nobz to aid their dying leader.
The last Hunter squad on the other side of the field use their escape hatch to retreat as well.
The assault pod’s storm bolter exacts revenge on the boyz that wiped out its squad, killing two of them. The dreadnought chooses not to shoot the roaring Tank boss and instead fires at the deffkoptaz, annihilating one of them and wounding the other. The Marines in the bastion fire their flamers out the window and incinerate 6 Stormboyz.
Five brave Marines are cut down by the Nobz as they charge in to help out of the Wolf Lord. In return they kill 3 of the hulking green skins. The venerable dreadnought explodes one of the killa kanz, which in turn takes down a nearby Stormboy. The remaining kanz refuse to hit with their klaws.
TURN 3- ATTACKER
A dark form comes whistling down from the sky and shakes the earth as the attacker declares a planet quake bomb. Castle Booninstein stands firm though, and only a corner parapet falls from the earthquake.
The Warboss zips through the rough terrain around the dread, and takes a wound in the process. The boyz are close on his metal heels. On the other flank, the killa kanz stomp towards the wall, their klaws ready to demolish it.
The Orks’ guns are mysteriously silent this time, as they skip straight to fightin’ (and hopefully winnin’). The Stormboyz Nob once again levels his klaw at the bastion but just scrapes off yet another heavy bolter. The killa kanz tear down the wall before them, and the grots inside salivate at the prospect of leveling the bastions inside. Warboss Gutslag’s klaw is more successful than the puny Stormboy Nob, and he demolishes the bastion before him.
Nearby, the last kan is turned into scrap metal by the venerable dread. The Wolf Lord is finally felled by the Nobz’ choppas, and 3 marines are carved in half by klaws. The Marines are losing the fight slowly but surely, but their courage is steadfast and they remain.
TURN 3- DEFENDER
The Grey Hunters, shaking the dust off their power armor and freeing themselves from the ruined building, move towards the Nob battle to bail out their brothers. The venerable dread near the boss wheels around and seeks him out. The other dread goes for the Stormboyz.
The Hunters in the tower fire at the kanz and one explodes, which once again takes out a Stormboy. The dread flames the same mob and burns 5 of them.
The dread, not content to let his flamer do all the talking, assaults the Stormboyz. He is overconfident in his efforts though, and is wrecked by the Nob.
The other venerable dread is more successful, as he assaults the Warboss and tears him limb from tread. The reinforcements to the Nob battle help out greatly, as the marines slaughter 4 of them and only take a single casualty. The Nobz fail to keep their head, and are run down.
TURN 4- ATTACKER
The remaining Stormboyz zoom over to the unmanned bastion. The killa kanz close in on the manned bastion. The last boyz squad scrambles over the broken wall, hoping to get close enough to bring their melta bombs to bear and double the chances of the stormboyz.
A somewhat mighty (there are few mouths to scream) WAAAGH rings out, but the boyz trip up on the rubble and can’t quite make it into assault range of the bastion. The koptas fire and shake the venerable dread, which isn’t enough to keep him from being dangerously close to the boyz.
The kanz charge into the manned bastion but do nothing but tear the final heavy bolters off. The Stormboyz do the same to their bastion, but the Nob just runs his klaw fingers over it and shakes the empty building.
TURN 4- DEFENDER
A fresh Grey Hunter squad heads towards the languishing boyz. The 3-man squad heads towards the crater, and the Hunters near the crater head towards the kanz, charging up their meltas. They fire and wreck both of the kanz. The Hunters still in the bastion flame the last few Stormboyz, and destroy all of them. The venerable dread kills 5 Boyz, while the drop pod nearby takes out the lone kopta still zipping around the right flank.
The dread charges into the Ork Boyz, joined by the Grey Hunters with the Wolf Priest. The Nob rips both of the dread’s arms off and the boyz kill 1 Marine, but the 7 Boyz killed by the Space Wolves manage to scare the boyz enough to make them flee. They are easily caught by the drooling retard space marines and are wiped out.
TURN 5- ATTACKER THRU TURN 6-DEFENDER
The two deffkoptaz, the last survivors of the attacking force, make several feeble attempts to take out the remaining bastions with their rokkits, but the marines catch up to them and melta them into oblivion.
Defender Wins!
