Yeah, I was going 65 (the speed limit) when I saw the guy up ahead of me had slammed on his breaks, so I tapped mine and the car decided to reverse direction and go into a ditch. I'm fine though, no injuries. I hung around at Lui-Lui's until 7:30 or so, thinking that if it stopped snowing around 4 the roads should be clear by then. The Sutton police officer who let me wait in his cruiser until the tow truck showed up was a nice guy though, and the tow people were cool about dragging my car back to Massachusetts.

Hope your insurance, etc. will cover it for you. Totaling a car is not an experience I enjoyed very much, but at least I got a new vehicle out of it (plus a bit less money in my back account, but whatever) ;D

My insurance, sadly, won't do Richard. I was planning on having to buy a new car soonish though (mine was a '97 camry that I never properly maintained), so I do have enough saved for a down payment. All the titans made it out ok (due to their carseats), and I will probably not head up your way unless it's summer or early fall in the future, though.  |

If anybody is interested, I bought a brand new 2011 Subaru Impreza and picked it up last Monday. And by "bought," I mean "in 5 short years will own." A Subaru eh? Well, if you're of the mindset of most Subaru owners you can now drive through 20 foot snow drifts, get traction on a sheet of sheer ice and climb Mt Everest. So coming up to the frozen north for a tournament or something should be a cinch ;D |

I thought that if you owned a Subaru you had to be a lesbian, cover the entire back window with political stickers and own at least three dogs.
