The rule question is when a unit loses an assault and they're forced to flee due to a failed leadership role, what direction do they flee from the combat?
Also, I've been playing against a friend using Tau and I was wondering if there were any suggestions out there for strategies/units to use against his commander who has high stats, a 2+ armor save and a 4+ invulnerable save. Not to mention the four wounds it has.
I'm playing a Space Marines (Ultramarines) army.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies.

It depends on the mission.
Initially you run directly away from your opponent.
Plasma guns are the trick against 2+ armor saves. That or meltaguns. Meltaguns are nice because of the strength. The Strength is 8 there fore if someone toughness4 or less fails theyre armor save they're are instakilled. Doesn't matter how many wounds they have.
That or get his commander in hand to hand. Tau commanders suck in hand to hand. Get him with assault marines or tactical marines with a sergeant with a power fist.
