I have an idea. How about posting up here on the site the methods for tournament scoring so's we can build our lists accordingly? Tournament season is approaching. Speaking of tournaments, what are the odds of opening early or staying open late on tournament days so those of us who travel can get a league game in on these days? Gas isn't cheap, fellas.

Sure. THe method was on the old web site, but didnt make the transition to the new.
Composition- 25%
5pts for each one of these.
Is your list 40% troops?
Do you have more troops than any other choices? ie, heavy, elite , etc...
No more than 10% of your pts spent on character wargear.
Does your list have character? ie, named units, army history, etc...
Is your list legible? Handwritten lists are fine, but make sure we can read it, adn we know what wargear thecharacters have, what weapons a unit has, etc...
Paint 20%
5pts each
3 colors minimum on all models.
Based.
All models painted.
Very detailed and characterful. IE, conersions, attention to detail.
I know it may seem unfair to judge painting, but we dont just consider these as just straight up tournaments. I consider them as Hobby tournaments. Part of the GW hobby is painting minis. And let's be honest, 15 out of the 20 pts are easy to get. All you need is three colors and basing on your minis. So in other words , you dont have to paint, but you have been warned.
50% Battle points.
Obviously you need to win games. This is kind of self explanatory.
5% Sportsmanship
Let's face it, no one likes a whiner. Learn to laugh when you lose, and be hunble when you win, or youll feel the heat on this one.
THis is judged by other players. It s reported on your result sheet after every game.
People have lost the whole tourney before over the 5% sportsmanship.
So that's it. I hope this helps. ILl update whenever I will open early or be open late.
