So, I am thinking we really need to firm up the date for this. Unless we hear a strong preference from multiple people for something else, lets stick with the original date of Saturday, August 15th (sorry, Zack). Did anyone ever get in a BFG game? Looks like it would be helpfull to know in advance who is defending and who is attacking due to the variable FOCs. If that was not decided by a BFG game, then what are people's preferences??

Looks like there will be no water on the river saturady to paddle so i would like to come to the planetstrike event. I may have enough DE by then. Devin and I had a fun PS game on saturday. Sisters defeated Tau by one objective.
Is it decided that it is 1750 and one Superheavy? I am assuming that you pay for the super with your 1750. I will shoot it out there that not many of us have super heavies and it will complicate the game unless we make it even (we have the same amount of supers on each side) and/or as part of the fluff of the battle. Supers arnt really meant for regular games of 40K and more for apoc. I am cool if people play them but we need to keep this in mind.
Can we just firm up the start time and the points and rules?

Sadly, I won't be able to make saturday. I'm actually working that afternoon. A rare exception to my standard M-F 9-5 job.
Rest assured that Grubbynutz will be there in spirit.

Lets go for 10 on Saturday. 1750 points, not including any superheavies. If you have one, bring it along. We will decide on Saturday how many superheavies to use and how to incorporate them. Sound good?

I don't think super heavies should be used at all but in the end as long as it's even it doesn't matter

well individualy we're not bringing that much to the table and things that are that overpowered like any superheavy imo just end up being more of an annoyance but that is simply imo.

So, after two and a half hours of set up, organization, and rules checking, the Planetstrike Endor got under way as an inexplicable alliance of Orks, Chaos Space Marines, Daemons, and Eldar attempted to seize the sacred Chapel of Sister Leia and the surrounding buildings of her nunnery (armor 14 bastions of course!) which were defended by no less then 2 Sisters of Battle armies, the infamous Elysian IG, and the Dionysian order of Astartes. Of course the mercurial Daemons failed to show (something about a creek and the presence or absence of a paddle we think) AND unexpectedly a contingent of Grey Knights did show (expecting the Daemons to be there probably). This left the Orks, CSM, and Eldar scraping the barrels of their fleets to augment their forces with whatever was available.
We only managed three turns before Abbadon's mother called to tell him he had to go home immediately because his supper was ready. The game at that point was 6-5 in favor of the defenders with the eventual outcome to be debated over many a brewskie (or non-alcoholic beverage) far into the future.
It was a grand battle of epic scale!
Three Canonesses (Canonessi??) locked in deadly combat for all three turns in a death match that eventually involved a Demon Prince, two squads of nurgle CSM, grots, and striking scorpions!
A squad of gallant Grey Knights charging out of the Chapel into a horde of orks, slaying them in droves until the two attached Warbosses decided they had had enough!
Elysian flyers targeting a deep striking full strength Ork mob and inflicting 39 wounds, wiping them out!
An exalted Dionysian dreadnought vaporizing an Ork battle wagon as a horde of Grots boil out from the remains.
An Ork Nob mob reduced to the point that Chuck was getting seriously concerned. Of course it took two turns of SOB shooting and a total of 6 flamers, 3 heavy flamers, 18 bolters, and a multi-melta (and a lot of Divine Guidance) to do that much damage.
And too much more to mention!

We should start a planet strike mini campaign where we have smaller games first that then affect how we play in a final mega battle
