I would like to go. I have some reservations because of some of the jerks last year at this tournament. In all though it was a blast and going down as a group would be awesome. If ross and I are in it looks like two cars are needed. I dont mind driving if I pass my morale test and commit!

If we all ate limburger cheese or somthing of that nature on the way done, it might give us some kind of tactical advantage.

But 'Ard Boyz is your chance to punish those jerks by beating them into the ground with horrifically cheesy lists! ;D Pass your morale test or I will inform your SAU Commissar (a new policy due to the budget crisis).

I am getting that tingling in my tummy thinking about it... I am in! I just cant decide what to take. That mission that gives up 5 KP for HQ makes you think twice. Corbi and dante are to squishy to take again.
I may do my 3 lith-ctan list. There are so many rules questions with crons these days; (like do necrons phaseout after the game ends on a random die roll?)
Is anyone avail thurs night or friday day for a primer?

SAU Commisar? Lulz. "You have been found guilty of using non-schoolboard approved teaching aids. It's the firing line for you, Crane!". And I would slap the doody out of someone who brought up Phasing out at the end of the game. Why would it matter if the game is over? Either you're below 25 percent or you're not. I hate beardy, rules lawyering message board gits!

It was my last game with Steve ( a fun game by all accounts) where I was under 25% with necrons waiting for WBB when the game ended randomly at the beginning of turn 7 due to the new rules. The question came up about PO at that point and it was determined that I dont get WBB and I phase out even though the game had ended.
I am frustrated at the gray areas of outdated useles rules. I dont want to have to get into any rules discussions at ardboyz, hence my indecision about what to take to ardboyz.

Ya if they are under 25 percent, or not. and its the start of the necon player turn or not.
rules say crap about the end of the game, how ever fun that would be( not having a Necron army).
SO if the Necrons have the first turn, just get your krumpin on turn 5 to ensure he fades away on turn 6. or better yet turn 2 so he can fade at the start of 3!!!!!!!! and you have time to scratch and stretch before your next game.
i even checked the GW faq. no mention. If the game ends early, the necron gets lucky if he doesnt get to his next turn when he would normally check phase out.
i also suggest having a print out of the faq for your army as well , in your kit.

If Phase Out happens at the beginning of your turn, and the game ends at the end of your opponent's turn, I would think you wouldn't phase out because the game never made it to the beginning of your turn.
Edit: Let me put it a little more clearly. The game ends at the end of turn 6, not the beginning of turn 7. You don't phase out until the beginning of turn 7. You wouldn't phase out because the game never made it to the first step required for you to phase out (The beginning of your turn.)

I would hate for the the refs to call dice down (game prematurely ends due to time) and for my opponent to say I phase out and he wins automatically. (say a turn he put a beating on me). Obviously, if it is the beginning of my turn and I fail my wbb I will PO-thats part of necrons. The rule is too crucial to the game to be vague. Thanks for the input as I decide what to bring on saturday.
