So, guys, I've been getting a lot of advice on how to improve my list. All of this advice involves ceasing to be Mono-Slaanesh. Here is what I'd be playing if my primary goal was to win games.
The Fateweaver Total: 333
Herald of Khorne Juggernaut Unholy Might Total: 120
Herald of Khorne Juggernaut Unholy Might Total: 120
7 Bloodcrushers Total: 280
6 Bloodcrushers Total: 240
11 Plague bearers Icon Total: 190
11 Plague bearers Icon Total: 190
12 Plague bearers Icon Total: 205
Soulgrinder Phlegm Total: 160
Total: 1838
I play a less than competetive army, not because I've deluded myself into thinking it was better than it really was, but because I have more respect for Chaos than GW seems to.

Well I for one applaud your adherence to your army's fluff. Shame on anyone who would advise you to do otherwise!
Would you really drop the Keeper of Secrets though? He's/She's so good...

I second Tom's applause. As one who probably plays the game more for the fluff than any other reason (at least that is what I claim so I can have an excuse for my inability to roll dice and my tactical ineptitude), I can also recognize that it is nice to win once in a while.

Dang, I thought my Tank collection was expensive. $30 bucks a pop for them Bloodcrushers... and PlagueBearers @ 5 for $22..
$$$$$ aside, wow that list looks dead 'ard. Troops that won't go away. Elites that could carve up most anything... Your devotion to trying to stay inside the fluff that GW had so carelessly abandoned was always admirable, but this list could knock the snot out of your old list. Look forward to getting a shot at it. (haha, quite literally as I would lose for sure if I tried to take a "stab" at it)

erm... wait... reread the OP. You're just pointing out that a "competitive list" made from the Daemon Codex would be very far from what you play. Thus your army shouldn't be seen as competitive but an army built around your own passion and love of the GW Daemon fluff? I grant you that you still womped alot of butt with your mono-god list. Collecting an army purely for the love of the army is always admirable. Regardless of its tabletop preformance. Vinny and his Elysians, Steve and his Vostroyans, Devin and his Slaanesh, all amazing armies that might not have been the most powerful of lists, but I'm sure were a labor of love to collect. As a side though, wow. That daemon list would = MASSIVE cash. Cash that goes right to GW... hum. The more expensive the real life cost the better ingame it proforms? -Deewalla

Ah... the Fatecrusher list. Did you know that this sort of list was what won the grand prize at the 'Ard boyz last year? It's an ugly, brutal list. It's up there with Nob bikers and Dual Lash in terms of tourney viability. I think the reason you're getting encouraged to use it is that you've asked for help with and 'ard boyz list. 'Ard boyz is not about fluff, painting or even sportsmanship (unfortunately) it's about making the nastiest list and whaling on people with it. So yes, I would encourage you to do this if you want to win the 'ard boyz, mainly because this list has a shot. The opponents list in this tournament report is a good example www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/239892.page#713271But for friendly games, I'd stick with your Slaanesh. You've hit a rough patch recently, but perhaps that is because the local metagame has shifted against you (more orks, more IG)?
