I am looking for some feed back from every one in the group. I want to be able to differentiate between platoons, command teams, warriors, special gun teams, etc. Thoughts so far are: 1) paint the helmets on each platoon, using a different color for each platoon, the command team would get a gold bar on the platoon leaders helmet. Similar markings on helmets for warriors, 2 ic and 1 ic. OR 2) Paint the beveled edge of the base with the back (facing me) having the platoon markings, with markings for leaders, warriors, and special teams 3) Base each platoon in a similar method (my least favorite) 4) are there other common methods? I really like option one because it is simple and facilitates easy honest play. No loosing guys or playing the who's who game. I want to make a decision by monday. CGR Painters ( www.cgrpainters.com) is doing the painting. The first group I am sending them is my US Beach Assault company. Thoughts?

I use different flocking on my infantry bases. If I use the same color. Then I use different course grains for different platoons.

I bought some very small stones for fish tanks they are normally white, by painting them different colors I can mark different platoons. by using different number of stones I could mark off different teams if need be.Flock would work well too. Temis

I find it easier myself to paint the beveled edges of the platoon base. I paint the entire edge a different color for each platoon, and then I can quickly mark them out on the field. Of course, two of my infantry teams I bought from Vintage Steve had different flocking, and different colored helmets for each platoon. However, for all my future endeavors, I will paint the edges.
