Agreed, I would very much like to stay in touch and continue to play games. The biggest challenge that we would face is finding the space to actually game in. I have room at my place for only two players really, however Will I think could accommodate four players. Perhaps, depending on who is on Facebook, we could create a group on there. Or there are plenty of other web resources we could utilize to keep a tally of players listed and for them to be able to easily get in touch with one another. I can accommodate up to four players easy. I can set up another table for six players. I am in the process of making or buying three 4-6 tables as quickly as I can upon hearing the news. I am all for keeping flames of war alive in Lebanon. I just received most of my hedgerows today. I am still waiting for two more boxes to come in the mail. Will I vote we create a separate thread devoted to this topic. Will, thank you in advance for offering up the game space. Let me know if I can help at all. |

Vintage Steve and I played our two games last night for turn one of the campaign.
His list: 2 panther hq, 1 plt with 2 panzer 4's, 2nd plt with 2 panzer 3s
My list: hq 2 m4a3 (76) late, 1 plt 2 m4a1 (76) and 1 m4a3 (75).
First game I was able to capture to tactical edges and take out all of his tanks
2nd game Steve captured 3 tactical edges and killed all of my tanks
It was a lot of fun! The first shot was a little cumbersome to read through but playing along as we read helped. The only problem is that we missed a fe minor things. In order to get the full effect of the tank ace abilities you have to play more than one game in a turn. The experience points earned in a game are enable you to choose an ability. Once you choose the ability you can use that through the rest of the campaign, WHICH IS REALLY COOL.
So make sure you get at least two games in per campaign turn. The games were really quick 1 hour for the 1st one as we fumbled through the rules and campaign info and the second game was only 30 minutes.
I can't wait to play next week!

PS: I was wondering if vintage Steve needed the tin man's oil can too loosen his rusty joints? Its been a long time since he pushed flames of war units around the table.

Right on target Will - I need that oil can now just to stand up!! I did play a Replacement School list from Desperate Measures. For once the German tanks outnumbered the US tanks. However the crews were tank school instructors and students in old warn out vehicles. No mission tactics, limited stormtrooper abilities, and all vehicles were unreliable.
As New Steve said, they were fun games. It was good to see New Steve again and it was good to get my FOW guys back on the table.
