Hello Generals,
I want to start this post about saying I am thankful for Tripleplay being there for me. I was living on Bank Street in 2009 when Tripleplay was on the Mall. I was a new comer to the area and had a new job. I am from the South. I met this chick in Lebanon and she convinced me to move to Lebanon from Burlington, Vt. She broke my heart and I was single. I was a wreck.
Then there was a steady walk to the cave to drink. I happen to pass Tripleplay on my way to get my drink on at the Cave. The store caught my eye every time I walk bye sober and after a long night of bad karaoke. I stumbled by seeing some guys playing on the tables. It reminded me of a store in Virgina Beach when I was in the Navy. Same set up. I just wondered what in the heck are they doing on those tables.
I did come bored of drinking in my small apartment and no girlfriend.
So for a night, I gave up the drink. I wanted to investigate this store on the mall. It happen to be a Friday night. The night of Flames of war. I walked in the store. I was drawn to a table of intense infantry combat with Temis and Mike Burton. Those guys where like tooth and nail over a infantry Assualt on buildings. So much colorful discussion about rules. Then again there battle was eye catching.
I started to ask questions. Then the night watchmen came over and saw the twinkle in my eye. That person was Jeremy. Jermey set up a German on American tank battle. I can say I have been hooked every since.
I think some had seen me as overbearing last year in bringing the game back from the dead. I did recruit some new players in the game. I happen to recruit my Tournement going Friend Jeff Mayo. My self and Jeff attended Huzzah 2013 and Carnage 2013. we attended some local tournaments as well. It was a banner year in competing on the Flames of war New England Tournement circuit.
This year we are setting our eyes on the Battlefront US National Tournements. We travel to Templecon in the Morning for a Two day Tournement put on by Battlefront. We hope to bring back a victory of some sorts for our club.
