New book: Desperate Measures

Fellow generals, the newest book release from Battlefront will be titled Desperate Measures and will deal with tank battles on the Eastern Front from January to April 1945. Here is a preview from the WWPD staff, and it looks to be quite a great find.

I am looking forward to many new lists for both the Germans and teh Russians. I'm really excited to field cheaper King Tigers, and to also throw down Hetzer's who have Tiger ace skills, . There are so many other new rules and lists to whet the appetite of any FOW gamer. Oh yeah, its going to be fantastic. I am not sure of the release date yet, but can't wait to check it out.

Choices, choices, choices! Seems to be the theme of the book. Soviet options look interesting - especially the Hero option. The German Enjoy the War option (couldn't they have found a better name for that option???) is good. Many of the other German options reflect the state of the German army at that time but are not particularly positive except that the points costs are probably lower and you can get more stuff.

I like the idea of the new rules that they've put in for each nation. I am eager to try them in our regular games, but I can see where they could create some interesting problems for tournament play.
