Matt Golec and myself, Robert Dijkman Dulkes, have designed a board game called Penny Press; a game about the newspaper industry at the turn of the 20th century.
We have entered our game in a few competitions and Jeff Volckaert suggested I start a thread here so I can keep everyone interested updated on what's going on. I thought that was a pretty good idea.

TableTop Deathmatch is a competition for board game designers. Out of 500 submissions 16 games were chosen to be presented at GenCon in Indianapolis and “Penny Press” was one of those 16 (I know: mind blown!) The competition is being made into a web series that will “air” this fall. The Boston Festival of Indie Games held a local competition, where local was New England and New York. They play tested our proto type and in the Jury report commented that Penny Press was one of the best games they played for FIG this year, and they invited us to come to Boston and play our game with attendees of the festival. So Saturday September 14th Penny Press will be demoed at Boston FIG. bostonfig.com/ |
