So I was thinking about the upcoming apoc game and to make the 'even' numbered player game a bit more interesting, I suggest that we have the meat grinder scenario but with players split into teams. Say a team of two goes up against another team of two. But instead of intermingling our units each player can deploy on up to half of the table edge the team is on.

If we have odd then we'll be deploying... man I wish there was a word for this.
Okay so if we have odd amount of players we'll push the tables together long ways (the amount we have discussed on the previous page). Then we have a player each in the corner with a 18x24 deployment. With the odd player deploying in the similar sized deployment on the junction of the tables.

Hmm, how about we team up Steve if we got an even number of players? I have some CSM I plan on bringing and It would make a bit of an interesting force. If you are interested then I can share my army list.

OK, so I have this bad boy, standing 6.5" tall (shown next to a rhino for reference): Would this be acceptable as a "counts as" Warhound Titan? Or is it not big enough? It could be a Knight, but there aren't any official rules for them...I found some at BoLS www.belloflostsouls.net/2008/09/play-aid-lords-of-battle-v20.htmland on Dakka, which I modified to: KNIGHT : 400 pts WS 3 BS 4 S 10 I 2 A 1 ARMOR FRONT 13 SIDE 13 REAR 11 I A UNIT: 1 Knight Paladin TYPE: Super-heavy walker Hull Points: 6 VOID SHIELDS: 1 WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: 2 arm-mounted weapons: - Volcano Cannon (both guns at same target) Shoulder mounted rocket launchers (2), like the MLR pods on the Vakyrie Left shoulder - searchlight, ( and this one is just for fun!) Right shoulder - smoke launchers with 24" range- Twin-linked Autocannon (just above the Pilot's compartment) In any case, please let me know what you think. EDIT: yes, I messed up in my points calculation, and I need more discussion as to what to do with this, so for now I am going to use it "counts-as" Defiler.

Well I'm fine with it and the Apoc book said that you could make up homemade rules, like how we would do with an odd amount of players in the game. Its just that all of the players participaiting have to agree to I t first before we go on ahead.

Okay sounds awesome guys, glad we got 4 peoples. If anyone else wants to show up and join in feel free to though.
Also I have no problem throwing down my stuff with Jeremy to fend off some chaosy forces.
I don't mind the knight to much, I just question its points because lords of battle was made along time ago by a far off internet community. Just what does smoke launchers with 24" mean?

In the Apoc book a Shadowsword is 455 pts, with more armor, same primary weapon, H Bolters, H Flamers, and lascannons. That's how I costed it out. If you have ideas/suggestions for the points cost, lemme know...

Oddly enough the shadow sun is now 455 points and only comes with one of that gun, search lights, and smoke. Everything else is options you require extra points for.
Doesn't this Knight have two of that gun? I don't think it having one less point of front armor and being effectively 2 hull points less make up for the guns it has and being 55 points cheaper. Also there's that punch back thing it can do that the shadowsword can't.
So like I said the points feel off. I don't know what to tell you, any actual 40k build rules I know are three editions old.
EDIT: Why don't you just use any of the knight rules from the lords of battle? I don't think it will be easy for us to agree on the house rules cost of destroyer weapons.
