This forum is for the rules and reporting results of the Twilight Struggle League. It is not too late to join and we will gladly teach any new comers.
Dates: June 2nd - Sept. 15th
Schedules: Each participant must play each other participant twice. Once as the Soviets and once as the Americans. All games must be completed by Sept. 15th 2013.
Note: Scheduling is left up to the individual participants. We are looking at the possibility of having a few days set aside at the store for league play. They will be announced.
Rules: Twilight Struggles standard rules apply.
- All cards 1-110 will be used. The final two special cards will not be used in league play. (This includes all optional cards in the Deluxe edition)
- Standings will be based purely on win-loss records.
- In the event of a tie at the end of the league a one game playoff will decide the league winner. This game will use the tournament rules listed in the deluxe rule book.
Cost and Prizes: $5 entry fee- payable by July 15th. The league winner will receive store credit based on number of entries. A secondary prize will be awarded to best new player. (The player that learned the game, joined the league and had the best win/loss record. Should they win the 1st place prize, this prize will be given to the new player with the second best record.) In the event no "new" players join the league the second prize will be a random draw.
Results: Please us this forum to report all results. The league standings will be updated weekly on Mondays. (The only time this will not happen is if no league games were played during the previous week)
There will also be a forum for discussion, trash talk and scheduling games! This will be over in the Board Game forums.
Please keep an eye out as we will hopefully set up a day or evening for teaching new players that may want to join the league. Even if you do not...please consider learning this great game! (Ranked number one on Board Game Geek)
