On a different note I was doing some research on Daemons and people seem really really really excited that flamers and screamers need to be nerfed (and it might happen). They are not that over powered. Stop bringing stupid lists to tournaments and you might not get smashed by people bringing min squads of flamers.
Also a chance for regular deployment rules means this army is going to be awesome sauce!
P.S. All rumors from what I've been reading.

Am I the only one who thinks one of the cooler of the gods (Tzeentch) continues to get absolutely nothing special as this edition continues to roll forward? CSM Thousand sons got a minor update that they needed just to function without as many problems as they had. Daemons: Almost everything about Tzeentch makes me twitch a little when it comes to a competitive level. I love the Screamers and they are really the only thing to not get completely toned down which is fine because they are good for what they do! Every one of their psychic abilities has a special rule that more often than not is going to give the Daemon Player's opponent a stupidly good FnP save after a while. I just like Tzeentch a lot, it's sad to see that he isn't getting a push forward like the rest of the gods did. On that note, the other gods are rocking house . Khorne and Nurgle are still going to be the go-go's of the army, but I see a well made Slaaneshi list or two popping around in the future.

Its because they were the most powerful before this book. That is the best answer you could have given me. Lol. Dan has been trying to explain how GW works to me beyond what I know... but dagnabbit! And technically didn't Khrone reign as their most viable list until the WD update?

I never got to play any of the tournament lists, but it was my understanding that you deepstrike as many giant squads of khorne something (hounds? or w/e) and then use other doody as cannon fodder or for fun.

I used plaguebearers to hold objectives, bloodcrushers to tank, and daemon princes amd greater deamons to kill stuff.

I could never get into the whole objective camping thing, but I bet it was a nasty list either way No need to send troops to die if you have a doody ton of MC's to do all the fun work . Sadly there are no high S MC's in the new book so a couple of Soul Grinders will probably be needed just to take down flyers. Unless you love grinding down flyers glances at a time. (Though you could ally with CSM to get your anti-air shenanigans too)

Or you could pay 100 points for a aegis defense line with quadgun?

Iron Arm (or whatever gave +1 S) counted towards vector strikes correct?
And yes enough 6's will bring flyers down, but I find inefficiency to be inefficient. Counting on 6's to do your job isn't reliable, and there's a good chance it will take longer than it should to drop what you are after.
And I know now that the soul grinders get AA. I was only commenting on the fact you could no longer take 5 MC's as efficiently. It's going to almost be mandatory that you take 2 soulgrinders to make sure the job gets done. (this is just my opinion.) HOWEVER. There might be some powers in the book that you can roll for your MC's to give them higher S. I need to re-read all the powers, but I think Biomancy had a few so Nurgle Princes can go go.

"Iron Arm" is d3 Str among other things. But you should re-read vector striking because it doesn't matter for vector striking.
