Good point. For it to have been a valid two question poll there should have been four combinations (get rid of one, get rid of other, keep both, get rid of both). Not really. Jeremy was resolved to get rid of one of them. Keeping them both was never an option originally, which is why it wasn't a poll choice. |

Conrad - If you want to try it, you also draw on my stock of 6 Russes (3 BT, 2 Demolishers, 1 Vanquisher), a Hellhound, and 6 Immolators (which no one should object to proxying as Hellhounds). Just hope you don't have to hold objectives. If not now, when would you get the chance to use such a list??
Might as well toss the HQ and the Vet Squad in Chimeras too.

2640 gets you 1 HQ(Company Command), 1 Troop(Veteran Squad), 3 Fast(9 Hellhounds), and 3 Heavy(9 Lemans). True, but taking Russes without sponsons just seems (or all vanilla Russes for that matter)... wrong.  I'll gladly throw in my collection of 2 LRBTs (HB sponsons), 1 Demolisher (Las/plas) and 1 Hound if you want to try Steve's idea* *So long as you're not playing against me. |

Hahaha, thanks for all the "support" in the massive tank rush, but with assaults vs tanks being what they are not really a great choice. As for no sponsons, You only get to fire EVERYTHING if you stand still... which = auto hits.  Come to think of it.. I might have to find out exactly WHAT I own. Just to "figure it out" 10 Chimera's 3 Hellhounds 3 Basilisks 3 Demolishers with 3 H Bolters 3 Stock Leman Russ 1 Executioner with Las / Plas 1 Vanquisher 1 Exterminator with 3 H Bolters 1 Hydra mmmm, know Im missing some. But those are the ones that come to mind and can be used via the Codex. I also know I have: 1 Salamander 1 Laser Destroyer (modeled as a Saber Class) and 3 Unfinished Leman Russ's awaiting the release of the new turrets (I hope) Dear god.... how much money over the years..... /crys/ |

You would have just blown it all on something else!
Even if you had put all the money into a retirement account you would be screwed right now! At least when you are 75 and working as a greeter in WalMart, you can go home and look at all those Russes - and wonder what the hell they are and why you have them.

Hard to play a balanced game when the opposition can devise a list to exactly counter target army and some of us can only build all comers lists.

What are you referring to, exactly? I'd be happy to provide you with advice in list building and Tactics. If you're interested, PM me so we don't broadcast my nasty tricks across teh internetz.
I think you'd be surprised at how even your orks could be tweaked against specific armies, particularly in this world of loose FOC and proxies.
