This thread is to gauge interest in having Flames of War tournaments at Triple Play in the near future. If we have enough players who regularly attend, they would be once a month on a Saturday at the shop. Most likely $5-10 entry fee which would fund store credit prizes. Registration would begin at 10am, and the games would begin at 11. So please post whether you are for or against it so I can get a headcount. edit: Oh, and of course no large artillery templates would be allowed in the tournaments.

I will be playing. I would never play a Large Template in a Tournament setting.
Edit: My US tank Destroyer company does not have a large template.

Will the Boycotter I think we need to have a major tournament that is a National Qualifier tournament. I think Jeremy should lead the National qualifier tournament. Will the boycotter

I'll give my rep a call and see what we need to do in order to make a national qualifier happen. Stay tuned!

I am interested but, as usual, my actual attendance would end up being spotty.
I would bring three gigantic templates of doom. (Is there such thing as an all-nebelwerfer company??)
A national qualifier would be great.

This could work. I still need to get back on a Friday night. This Friday will be the last hockey game of the season and then that will open up Fridays again.

Then again, some of us play for fun...imagine that, and don't get to play several times a week. If you are there just to win ....do us all a favor....you stay home. +1 Temis

Time for me to respond. We run the business as a place for all to have a fun and enjoyable experience. If any of these posts appear again...there will be h3ll to pay. I expect you all to treat each other with respect. Anything else is not tolerated. With this kind of attitude going on, I wouldn't even want to run a national qualifier for fear of embarrassing the store. We have a good name in the gaming community. Not just local, but we build our reputation at the conventions we attend.
Everyone was new at one time and not everyone has the time to devote to playing every week myself included. If and when I get to play a game, I will not be holding them to a time limit. I will not be a hard ass. Part of growing a player base, is growing the players. That means going slower and teaching them. Granted, a tournament is not the place to be learning rules...but a club is.

It will not happen again. I just need to have patience with players. Will

Its a bit late since the original posting of the thread, but I vote yes on having regular tournaments. Especially with store prizes, that would be a great assist to help build up forces.

I would be in favor of tourneys as well, especially if they were scheduled for weekends. It's really tough for me to come down on weeknights.
