Well I incourge you to try some more, but if your not having fun I can see the problem.
Is it the game itself or just how dark angel play that's bumming you out?
I enjoy playing the game becasue I stick with a play style and /or units that I like. And that keeps me happy dispite any other issues that come up.
If you want to stick with it I'm sure we can crowd source some things here that might be able to help you.

Not the game I intend to still play just a different army. The game has basically gimped the charge with the addition of overwatch in my opinion. Thinking about going back to my tau that was my first 40k army or trying nids that I have never played before

How are dark elder? Are they. Functional army by themselves

They can work on their own, they have great anti infantry through splinter weapons and okay anti tank through expensive lances. Assault units kind of went through a weird upheaval with the new edition and it takes some figuring out.
They are a paper kite army though and start folding when they start taking punches.

Be careful how you put ghost arcs togther. They are super annoying to paint if you make them so you can't take them apart.

but within rnage those ghost arcs and everybody inside can fire... lots of shots.
