Hello all... I have spoken with Sean and next weeks Board game night will be on Thursday! I have all next week off so I can be in to the store early if others also have the time to play a few games before our usual 6pm start. Please just let me know. (I will be looking to play after missing last night!) I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday! Maybe some new games coming in.... So see everyone next THURSDAY! Rod

I can be there anytime in the afternoon. I believe the store opens at 2pm? If we get a few people that can make it I will be glad to head up there around 2pm to play some games!

Sorry Brent. Hopefully you guys will make it up again soon! Temis, Rick (and anyone else) I will plan to be at the store around 2pm on Thursday. I am sure we can find space to play something before the evening crowd arrives. I will bring a bunch of games. Not sure which ones yet...Rick if you do make it, Terra Mystica is always welcome! ;D See those of you that can make it Thursday! Those that can't have a great Holiday and we will see you in the New Year! Happy Christmas to all, Rod

I'll be there at 2 and bringing Terra Mystica. Anything else?
Is this a good time for a train game? I recall Temis saying he won't play anything but 18XX. Rod?
I'll be taking, and suggest to others, a real break for supper away from 3xP else someone, quite possibly me, would be playing with greasy fingers.
Happy Christmas!

Rick I never said that I would not play a train game but 18xx. What I did say was that I would not play Ticket to Ride. Played it once didn't like it. I own Union Pacific I would be willing to play one of the Mayfair Crayon games(Empire builder) and i have played a some of Alan Moon's RR games Temis

Sorry Temis.
I apologize since I misunderstood you, or perhaps it was a different conversation? The environment at 3xP is somewhat chaotic to me and I may not have heard every word you said and/or easily had my attention distracted by other conversations, random noise, bright shiny objects, food, or a game in progress. New Hampshire is so busy and confusing compared to Vermont.
Are you interested in other Martin Wallace train games? I have several I could bring.
Is there any interest in 18XX for Thursday? Perhaps we could have an 18XX game on a Sunday now that there is so much room in the new basement? Who makes that kind of decision?
Empire Builder is on my list to acquire. After doing that, and learning it, I'll be ready for you.
Rick
PS: Games for One's solo version of Ticket to Ride on BGG is a brain burner, but not worth buying the game just for it.
PPS: If the forecast whiteouts have not ended by noon on Thursday I may arrive later than 2.

Happy Christmas all! ;D I enjoy Martin Wallace. I would not mind trying some of his train games. Which ones do you have? I can bring Steel Driver. I also have Aeroplanes and Automobile. I would like to play something in the afternoon that we can finish by time the evening crowd arrives. 18XX on Ameritrash Sunday in January is a possiblilty. We can throw the idea out there and see where it goes. Rod

Rod,
I was thinking of Railways of the World.
I also have Steam, the advanced version of which is really Age of Steam with a few changes, and can be played as full on Age of Steam. Also London and Discwold Ankh-morpork.
I agree that the afternoon shouldn't run into the evening. See my earlier comment about supper.
Weather may be a problem for me. If the predicted 10" of snow arrives by Thursday night, when going home I will be snowed out by as much as two miles, depending on who has plowed when.

The weather is looking good here in Lebanon so I know I can make it to the store to play games today. I will stop by around 2pm with some of my games.
