I'm not sure. I know I'm going to be in Florida all next week but I haven't been told when we're leaving.

Ross... How much you got? I have 3000ish points...
And if things gets too out of hand I could throw in my 'crons.
Want to say... 6000 a side?

Are you and some football players going to take a pontoon boat out into the gulf?
Wear a lifejacket with a transponder on it. You and your narrow ass will sink to the bottom in a second...

So Me, Brian and Ross vs. Devin, Steve and Drew?
Lets say 6000 points per person so we have 2000 points each to play with?

Just to clear up, that is 6000 per SIDE, not per person... I still haven't heard back from Sam, so let's set the field as Orks (yours truly) and Orks (Steve) and Daemons (Devin) taking on Marines (Tom) and Marines (Ross) and Blood Angels (Brian). 2000 points a piece for a total of 6000 a side. I'll post up the fluff for our campaign tomorrow as well as the mission so you all can understand what you're getting into ;D

Are we starting at 11??
As for killing greenskins Brian - my guys are mostly blackskins and greyskins so I hope you focus on the greenskins. (Hmmm - I'll use Wayne'e excuse for his Wood Elves - we have been fighting forest fires and are still covered with the ashes and soot.)
Devin - Saw your post. I'll pick you up around 10 on Saturday assuming I am correct about our 11AM start time.

The Fall of Monody Campaign
Phase I: The Battle for Maharo
Early in the 41st millennium, the small agri-planet of Maharo was shocked by the emergence of an Ork hulk from the warp. Saturating the airwaves with signals identifying themselves as “Waaagh Grubbynutz”, the invaders struck. Annihilating the paltry orbital defenses, they seized vital communication links and destroyed transit infrastructure, crippling the ability of the PDF to mount effective resistance.
Fortunately for the local populace, their planet lay within realm of the Hands of Vengeance chapter and a force of these fearsome warriors were stationed on-planet. Counter-attacking with a speed that only an Astartes force can achieve, they struck at the center of the ork deployment, massacring a great number of the greenskins and throwing them into disarray. It was this bold action that bought time for an Astartes task force to be sent from the chapter monastery on Monody to reinforce the world.
Arriving on-planet, the new marine force under the command of Librarian Ashurbanipal found the majority of Maharo’s landmass under greenskin control, including the planetary capital, Yarrowton. Linking up with their surviving battle brothers from the garrison, they attempted to recapture the city and begin the liberation of the world.
Ashurbanipal's forces cut a swathe through the ork horde, even forcing Warboss Grubbynutz himself to withdraw before the might of their guns. Indeed, the terminator vanguard was within sight of their objective when they received a vox that their tactical squad reinforcements had been either delayed or slain by marauding deffkoptaz. Unable to hold the ground he had just cleansed, Ashurbanipal ordered an evacuation of the remainder of the human population and left Maharo to the orks. Equally stung, the orks were in no position to pursue.
Phase II: The Green Tide Comes to Monody
At this point many among the Chapter’s upper echelons thought the orks would not be mad enough to attack their homeworld directly. It would be folly, they argued, given the deadly orbital defenses Monody sported (let alone the presence of an entire chapter of Astartes). But Ashurbanipal and others among the chapter counseled that the orks would surely attack, defenses or no. Heeding the advice of the latter group Chapter Master Napthal put the PDF and orbital defense network on their highest alert levels.
It did not take long for Ashurbanipal to be proven correct. Before the week was out, huge numbers of ork ships began arriving the in the skies over the planet. The defenses took a terrible toll, lighting the sky with blazing Kill Krooza wrecks and exploding roks. But the orks, driven by fear of their Warlord and their desire for combat, forced their way planetside. A horde led by Grubbnutz himself landed outside the orbital defense hub, determined to silence the guns and allow the rest of their forces to land. Led by Librarian Ashurbanipal, a large force of The Hands of Vengeance and their allies was waiting for them…
