Hey all! I was inspired by the great turnout for last tournament, I decided to schedule this one right away. The date is now set for March 10th, with a registration time of 10:30 and a kickoff time of 11:00AM.
Basically this will be an 1850 point tournament using standard force organization chart. It will be a three round tournament with missions similar to (though not the same as) last time. There is a $10 fee, all of which go to prizes.
Speaking of which, prizes will be given out for 1st place and 2nd place. In addition, everyone is encouraged to paint up a new unit or model to show off in the first "Best Lookin' Git" contest, the winner of which will receive a store credit prize.
I'll also be starting a poll thread to gauge the community's interest in other 40k events. Please check it out and give me your thoughts there as well.
Other than that, we have space for up to 14, so RSVP today. ;D

The Sky Raiders Corsairs will be there.
I won't strip the super awesome Pink Sea Horse Nightwing just so everyone in attendence can behold it's acrylic beauty.

10 mins before a round is over we should designate a point in the middle of the room to fall victim to "Rok'em Boyz" strategic asset from Apocalypse Reloaded.

discordianGreat idea, but I wouldn't want to leave any up-stairs players out of the fun. I'll ponder it. Missions! (I reserve the right to shuffle the order in which they are played) Scenario 1: "Yo Dawg, We Heard You Like Objectives..."
Deployment: Spearhead (see 40k rulebook) • 1st Mission: Seize Ground (as found in 40k Rulebook EXCEPT only 3 objectives will be used) • 2nd Mission: Capture and Control (as found in 40k rulebook) • 3rd Mission: Kill Points Note: All objectives (no matter the type) must be 12” or farther away from each other. Remember that seize ground objectives must be deployed PRIOR to the roll for deployment and that capture and control must be placed AFTER deployment zones have been chosen. Scenario 2: Blitz (Back By Popular Demand)Deployment: Pitched battle, as seen in the 40k rulebook, EXCEPT(!) the players choose a SHORT table edge rather than a long edge. • 1st Mission: Kill points • 2nd Mission: Control more of three objectives (center-of-board objective, plus one in the center of each player’s deployment quarter) with scoring units • 3rd Mission: Get more units (scoring or otherwise) fully into opponents deployment zone than he has in yours NOTE: Due to the shift in angle, any rules that reference the player's table edge will refer to his short table edge instead. Similarly, any rules which reference the short table edges (such as outflank) will refer instead to the long edges. Scenario 3: The BloodmistsDeployment: Dawn of War (see 40k rulebook) • 1st Mission: Kill Points • 2nd Mission: Control center-of-board objective with a scoring unit • 3rd Mission: Victory Points
