Hello i just moved back to new hampshire i used to spend loads of time at the store when it was on the mall in leb. now that i am back i was looking at getting into 40k and had some questions.
1. is there still alot of 40k being played at the store? is it easy to stop by and get a game going?
2. i learned to play along time ago but have forgotten would anyone be willing to teach me again?
3.whats the least played army at the store right now?

Hi!
To answer your question:
1. Yes there is still quite a bit. Most of the time if you stop by on a Saturday (assuming that there isn't a tournament for another game going on) someone will have their 40k stuff with them. Other days you will usually have to prearrange a game. The forum is a great way to do that.
2. We have a group of long-time players who are usually willing to lend a hand. I'm one of them, but sadly my work doesn't allow to come down during the week. If weekends work for you, PM me and we'll schedule a time.
3. Wow. Hard to say. Probably Tau or Sisters. I know I haven't seen one of those armies for quite some time. I would caution you that they are not played because they are somewhat difficult to do well with. Not to say you can't win with them, just that it is considerably harder to do so.

Marine armies abound though so any Xeno army like orks or either form of eldar are good choices, the recent dark eldar are great and new necrons just came out.

in general a new army will cost $300 at least to get you started. The cost varies with what kind of army you want to roll.

Welcome back to the area. If you do decide on Necrons and are interested in getting jump started by buying painted stuff, I have a Necron army I would sell at a reasonable price.

Who needs lasers when you have these en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RailgunI see your pewpew and raise you a BOOOOM! edit: Now that I think about it Necrons dont have lasers really. In there last book their guns where actually guasss technolgy that worked in reversre for some reason. Like really dangerous vacuum cleaners that would suck particles off what ever they shoot at. Not sure what they do now. they might shoot rabbits really fast for al I know.

Yeah I know but in the fluff for necrons it acted like a vacuum and sucked its target to it.
Gauss normally is just a magnetic coil that works the same way as a rail gun.... but like in a spiral. Rail gun just sounds cooler.
