Poofy was an 40k child prodigy, playing in between diaper changes.
(No offense - just an old fart being envious.)

Droofus, as far as the second senario, which edge would outflankers come on from?

Droofus, as far as the second senario, which edge would outflankers come on from? The long edges. Ditto for anything else that references "short table edges".

I am excited about the tournament, thanks for the working out the cool missions, Drew. I have a question, though... Is there going to be an entry fee?

Oh, right! $10-a-piece entry fee, all of which goes towards prizes. The prizes will go (in descending value) 1st place, 2nd place and the highest vote getter for favorite opponent. Also, we'll shoot for a 10:30 registration time and a 11:00AM kickoff.

Thanks to all who participated in the tournament yesterday! I was really pleased with the turnout (10 people!) and had a lot of fun playing. Top three were: 1: Ross 3-0 (7 completed missions) (Necrons) 2: Poofy 2-1 (6 Completed Missions) (Dark Eldar) 3: Chris 2-1 (5 Completed Missions) (Grey Knights) Unfortunately, I forgot to charge my camera batteries the night before and was therefore unable to capture pics of the armies. Thanks to Chris who stepped in to take some army photos with his phone camera. We didn't get everyone, but here are the four that we did: These are Chris's third-place Grey Knights Jeremy's Bronze Legion (played using the Blood Angels codex) Mark's Grey Knights My own Flesh Tearers Other armies included 2 Necrons, Dark Eldar, Tau, Imperial Guard and Orks. Quite a good mix! Hope everyone had a good time! Look for an announcement about next month's event at some point this week.

I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next time. Maybe I'll have my dread knight painted by then.
