Same here - big thanks to all for fun games. Sorry for my griping about the VC, Chuck - it's the first time I've seen the new book in action, and it kept surprising me! I got to see some new models of yours too - good that they gave you back Wraiths, etc.
Now about Poofy being God, well, I just wish I'd had a chance to point some cannon fire towards his Dragon. Maybe next time, ya hear me! Congratulations, Poofy, for winning.

Hey no problem. The tourny was great. I had a great set of three games. Favorite moments: Frenzied Assassin cutting down Lizardmen General, Dragon killing a Bloodthrister, Dragon eating Devins Sorceroress after she tries to jam her staff up its ass. Note to self: Dragons are amazin. To Phoenix- Pah, My dragon woulda absorbed them cannon hits, then eaten the crew.

Same here as well - three fun games. Well, if you can call having your entire army munched by three assassins and a dragon fun. Favorite moment - my stegadon passing an initiative test (I2) to dodge the Chaos Giant's club and then impaling him on its horns. Honorable mention (award for futility) - block of Saurus warriors with their tooled up Oldblood General charge a block of dwarf warriors with their tooled up general on shieldbearers - in the first round of combat a grand total of 0 wounds from all those attacks from both sides - including a General on General challenge.

speaking of buffed up generals, does a dwarf lord on shield bearers get and extra armor save from having a hand weapon and shield or does he count as being mounted?

it also matters in whether he gets +2 strength from a GW or +1

the description in the book leans more towards him not counting as mounted as it states that they fight as a single model but i wanted to ask the general populous for their opinion

from the direwolf dwarf faq ( GW goes to the direwolf faq in its recent faqs).
SHIELDBEARERS
Q. Is a Dwarf Lord mounted on Shieldbearers susceptible to the Killing Blow special ability? A. No. The rules for Killing Blow clearly state that the only criteria for single models not mounted on monsters or in chariots is a Unit Strength of 2 or less. A Dwarf Lord on Shieldbearers is a single US3 model and is thus immune. S. Rulebook page 95 / Dwarfs Army Book page 29 *****
Q. Does a Dwarf Lord mounted on Shieldbearers gain +1 strength or +2 strength for using a great weapon? A. A Dwarf Lord on Shieldbearers does not count as a mounted model per the definition of mounted models (cavalry and models riding monsters or chariots) stated in the Weapons rules in the Rulebook. Thus he gains the standard +2 Strength when using a great weapon. S. Rulebook page 55 / Dwarfs Army Book page 29
