Actually the Mass one is pretty darn close to Rhode Island. It's actually 40 less miles to get to Standish (which is west of Portland), but there's no interstate involved. Timewise, they're pretty similar. Basically a choice of back roads or interstate driving.
Any football fans should note the proximity of Plainville to Foxboro and that the Pats are playing San Diego on Sunday.
