So I'm getting back into MTG after an extended absence. I stopped collecting back in the Urza block and shortly after sold all 12,000+ cards I had, much to my chagrin now. Some of you may have seen me in with my two boys at FNM a couple weeks back, my oldest is really excited about MTG now, it's kinda cool. Anyway, I'm trying to construct some post-Sept 30th Standard decks (no Zendikar or earlier). Even though M12 is out next week, are older prints from the core sets (older art, M10, M11, etc) OK as long as the mana cost is unchanged? Thanks.

Any printing of a card that is currently in the standard format is perfectly legal for use in standard. The only thing that might've changed is the wording. in that case, you'll have to abide by the oracle text which can be found online.
