New Phyrexia Release Event May 13 2011

Had an awesome time at the prerelease. Didn't do as well as i had hoped, but oh well. Had a couple of impressive plays happen.

Round 1 Game 2, i have a steel hellkite, equipped with bladed pinions and a rusted relic. I swing with the dragon, he takes 5, then i equip pinions to the relic. He's at 15, i'm at 18. He pops panic spellbomb on my relic, sacs perilous myr to ferrovore, shoots me for 2, then swings with 5/2 ferrovore and moltensteel dragon, and pumps it for exactly lethal leaving him at 1 life.

Round 2 Game 1. i have the 1/1 flying lifelink, a hovermyr and my steel hellkite. He has a hellkite and a shattered angel. He swings with hellkite, putting me at 6. My turn, i untap, topdeck a land, play it, tap it and 2 myr, pay 4 life, act of aggression his angel then tap out for triumph of the hordes for 12 infect.

Round 2 Game 3 We've gone to time, it's turn 5, he's at 7 life. I top deck a skinrender, pop one of his 2 blockers, swing with blade-steel and ferrovore to put him at 5 then salvage salvo him for 6. I'd have been long dead if not for my carnifex demon (under forced worship) being able to hold off his steel hellkite.

This probably isn't the best place to put this, but i figure it's better than starting a new 1 post thread and cluttering up the boards.

P.S Sheoldred prerelease foil is hot (i'd tap that)

The NPH Release will be a Sealed Event and will have 25 dollar entry fee.

What TIME !? is it like a draft or do you just get 6 packs and wing it?

I was kind of disappointed I couldn't make it to actually play, but the timing didn't work out right.
