Hello! Starting Sunday April 3rd, a group of the regular Wednesday night board gamers are going to meet at Triple Play to play some Ameritrash games. You may be thinking "There are games about my cousins in Alabama?" NO According to Boardgamegeek: "Ameritrash is a catchphrase for 'American style boardgames.' In general, this means games that emphasize a highly developed theme, characters, heroes, or factions with individually defined abilities, player to player conflict, and usually feature a moderate to high level of luck." Well actually there are many games that have some or all of these characteristics. This Sunday time gives us a chance, once a month, to play games that are too long to play in the Wednesday night time. We plan on playing the first Sunday of every month starting about 10:00 A.M. and ending between 4-6 p.m. Since a typical Ameritrash game is long and fairly involved I suggest that if someone wants to play a game, they make sure they contact other people who want to play and can commit to showing up and playing in the available time. There is nothing wrong with just showing up but you may not get into a game unless you plan ahead with others first. Hopefully we can get a couple games going on April 3rd! Andy P

I'd like to be in but with the go-live at work this weekend I will be touch and go. If I do make it I'll bring a couple of quicker ameritrashy games myself for the rest of the late comers. I think I have my copy of Monsters Menace America around here somewhere....

Good Stuff! All these ideas sound good. It looks like we will have several games going at once. Some of us are planning to play the new Civ game but if we get an odd number of players, we can play it by ear.
