Hey guys, I don't know if this is better suited in a general discussion area or not, but there were questions about whether or not there would be a Warmachine/Hordes tournament at EconoCon in Plymouth.
I'm happy to announce that there will be a 25 point tournament from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, April 9. (Assuming I didn't mess up the day). Regardless, there is a WarmaHordes tourney. I hope to see you guys there ;D
quick edit: FYI, there's going to be a $5 buy-in, and the top two players will split the prize money.
Here's what's up:
Plan for a Steam Roller style 25 point tournament. Two lists, scenarios, etc. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have 35 point lists on hand (I'm unsure as to how many people are going to participate and am unsure who has how much stuff). Three rounds, $5 buy in. Top two players get prize money.

That's the plan. As I know so far (I'm not running the 40k tourney) it should be a 1750 three round style tournament for 40k.
edit: Modified the OP to adjust some quick changes.

This is excellent news. I expect that Triple Play will turn out for the con! I'm really looking forward to it.

Hey guys, Glad to hear that you're excited for the tournament, but I have slight twinge of bad news. The Warmachine/Hordes tourney is going to be moved to Sunday (time is TBD for now, updates soon though!) And the 40k Tournament is going to be Saturday when I was planning on originally running the WM/H Tourney. Sorry for any confusion... The good news to the confusion though is that it just gives us more opportunities to game

Are you going to use timed turns? How long will each round be? Single list, or double list?
In other words, just a casual tournament, or will this be a steamroller style?

so the tournaments just switched around? That's not really bad news, just plain news

I'm still trying to figure out the actual logistics, maybe you can help me out with deciding that? Yeah, the tournaments were just flip flopped. I guess it really isn't bad news.

Updated the OP with what is hopefully enough information to answer all questions!
